Tangerang , July 24, 2025 — Koperasi Benteng Mikro Indonesia (BMI), one of KIVA’s Field Partners in Indonesia, welcomed a special visit from Mark McDonagh, representative of KIVA Global, to witness firsthand the social impact of microloans on underserved communities.
During the visit, Mark was warmly received by BMI’s management and engaged in dialogue with local borrowers. He observed how Kiva-funded loans have supported small entrepreneurs, improved household welfare, and expanded access to basic services.

BMI’s leadership reaffirmed that the partnership with KIVA has helped deliver fair, transparent financing to thousands of cooperative members, especially women and rural residents.
